How to Know When You're Pure

Important — don't confuse two things:
• Brown/yellow spotting before the sign of purity appears — still hayḍ. Wait.
• Brown/yellow spotting after the sign of purity has appeared — not hayḍ. You are pure.

Use the sign your body normally shows. If you usually see white discharge at the end of your period, wait for it. If you usually go dry, dryness is enough.

After ghusl: no waiting period. The moment you're pure, you can do ṭawāf, ṣalāh, recite Qurʾān — everything.

Period-delay medication: Permissible across all four madhāhib for Hajj and ʿumrah. Whether it's right for you, and what to take, is a conversation for your doctor — not this guide.

Have that conversation before May 17 — not in Madinah.
